PROJECT OVERVIEW

We completed a fit-out of a Grade II Listed Building which started as a bare shell and was turned into Browns Fashion’s new 5-floor flagship store located on Brook Street comprising a restaurant, retail and courtyard.

Key Points:

  • New restaurant, bar area, dining space and external courtyard with ‘alfresco’ seating, oversized planters and landscape features

  • Complicated M&E services installation coordinated through floors from the core of the building and feature chandelier from the skylight over the staircase

  • Dampproofing membrane and remedial works to lime plaster within the feature ‘Yellow Room’

  • Creation of a Very Important Customer Suite complete with a kitchenette, private shopping and social space

  • Curved and vaulted ceilings with fibrous mouldings to match existing with stretch fabric Barrisol ceiling finishes

  • Renovation of existing flooring with wax and sealant for rustic effect

  • An artist was commissioned to match listed wallpaper and decoration

  • Cladded ‘magic mirrors’ and brass doors to fitting rooms

  • Extensive joinery and millwork procured and installed throughout

  • Construction of plant room in external courtyard and formation of security office, communications room and ‘back of house’ in the basement
